The EVS Group is one of Europe’s leading translation companies providing professional translation services, localisation and interpreting services. From its headquarters in Offenbach am Main, the steadily growing company employs more than 40 in-house translators and project managers in addition to coordinating more than 1,350 freelance translators worldwide. EVS Translations has a further three offices in Germany: in Berlin, Cologne and Munich, as well as branches in the UK, Spain, Bulgaria, Poland and the Ukraine. EVS Translations provides project management and coordination across various industries. Operating managers and native speaker project managers handle at least 10,000 orders every year, providing services to over 1,000 customers. Charts of accounts for two key German state banks are translated, each with over 5,000 entries. Since 2000, over 40 annual reports have been translated each year. EVS also creates dictionaries and glossaries in line with customer requirements with as many as 35,000 entries. These cover areas such as automotive, insurance, marketing and engineering, as well as one of the largest IAS and IFRS databases for financial documentation.
IT solutions are provided by the in-house EDP department. Its main objective is accelerating and simplifying processes for both customers and translators. New formats, translation memories, data conversion and translator tools optimise quality and performance.
